Although still relatively new to the style stratosphere , READYMADE’s impact on both, the casual streetwear sphere and high-end luxury landscape has been felt since first bursting out onto scene roughly four years ago. The brand’s founding father, Yuta Hosokawa, is revered industry wide for showcasing keen upcycling sensibilities. His penchant for elevating military deadstock is what legends are made of, many of which have shown face in other seasonal collections. As such, signature pieces from the brand’s archive have been featured through BAPE, Fear of God, Timberland, and JUST DON, amongst others.
READYMADE appears to have cleared up some earlier rumors that it would take on a new Nike Blazer project with this leaked image courtesy of solebyjc. The eye-catching color scheme comprised of “Black/Vast Grey-Volt-Total Orange” utilizes a clean white toe box and heel to break up the heavy hits of black swathing the sides, vamp and tongue. A bright orange Swoosh juxtaposed against the marble-printed collar and co-branded emblems along the rear provide added layers of creative depth. Lastly, sitting down below is a textured sole unit that bears an eery resemblance to adidas’ BOOST system.
The new READYMADE x Nike Blazer Mid is expected to make its debut sometime later this Fall/Winter 2020 season. In other sneaker news, Salehe Bembury and New Balance’s collaborative ML2002R1 now has a drop date.
